Fortunately my day did not end with a Ferrari crashing through the garage window but I admit I did play hooky most of the day. In my case it was off to Burke Lake Park.
Burke Lake Park is located just off of Route 123 and a few miles from the City of Fairfax. With over 850 acres including a 220 acre lake there is plenty for everyone to enjoy. In this case the windmill and bucket are part of the scenery as you take the 1.75 mile ride on the miniature train in Burke Lake Park. Today may have been the last of the perfect fall days in Northern Virginia. The call of Burke Lake and a stroll around the 4.7 mile trail that wanders the perimeter of the lake were to hard to resist. Along the way I couldn't help but notice the reflection of the fall trees in the water and wish for just a few more days of feeling the warm sunshine on my shoulders.

This past week my clients Ted and Katy closed on their first home. In a Northern Virginia market that picked up steam in late Spring these first time home buyers learned that not all sellers were motivated to sell and that some properties ended up with multiple offers.
