We see the signs around Virginia that say "George Washington Slept Here" but unless you take a step often the beaten path you won't find some of the other signs of famous faces in history. One of those signs is hidden in Fairfax Station at the St. Mary of Sorrows Church just off of Route 123.

Despite all of the continued bad press about home prices the numbers that were recently posted by both the local MRIS system and the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors do not show a dramatic decrease in home prices in Fairfax County.
The sales price for both attached and detached homes remained close to 2006 prices.  No one will argue that the number of total homes sold is less, but the number of homes on the market is significantly more.  The absorbtion rate for houses is lower, which would be expected with the fact that the inventory is higher.
