For the very fortunate commuters in Northern Virginia a walk outside the back down and a hop in your helicopter gets you up and over the traffic and on to your destination. In case you think it isn't possible just ask the lucky homeowner who lives across the Occoquan River from me. Indeed he has his own helicopter pad in his back yard!

Anyone commuting along Route 1 in eastern Prince William County has watched as a new odd metal frame has been erected across from the Woodbridge VRE station. As part of the planned revitalization of this section of the Route 1 corridor a new "kiss and ride" turn off is being created.For anyone not familiar with the term "kiss and ride" it designates a quick drop off point for anyone taking public transportation in Northern Virginia.
