Not to make light of Hurricane Irene but at least in my area she was primarily just an annoying storm. It is always better to be prepared than not but there are times when the weather teams make me want to scream. Hopefully the new forms will provide the details that buyers need to be able to make a more informed decision about what lenders are charging and keep the last minute "junk" fees from appearing on loan documents. Over the course of the this year as agents lamented the HVCC changes my listings quietly went to closing with no problems. This week one of my new construction listings hit the dreaded appraisal snag. The original appraiser consider that the sales price for a water view unit with a big balcony and upgrades was worth the sales price of $370,000.
