SSF is a City of contrasts. It has two, distinctly different parts, residential stretched between hills of Westborough and Hwy 280 through the aging down town to Hwy 101. Across the Hwy 101 there is distinctly different industrial part with high office buildings hosting computer, software and biotech companies. It is an important hub of the US biotech and dubbed by some – a birthplace of the industry (Genentech was created and is headquartered in SSF).
