67th Annual Floresville Peanut Festival ~ Downtown Floresville, TX ~ October 4th, 6th-9th.
It's that time of year again Floresville..... Floresville Peanut Festival kicks off tomorrow (Tuesday, Oct.4th) with the Goober Games at 5pm-7pm. The Carnival opens Thursday, Oct. 6th on the festival grounds at the Wilson County Courthouse parking lot. This years event looks to be a fun filled weekend.
A little history...

Wilson County to Hold Last Tax Rate Hearings Before Making Decision on Increase! Thursday September 9, 2010 in Floresville City Hall at 7pm!
The City is purposing a 43.27 cents per $100 assessed property value tax increase to those that reside within Floresville City Limits. With the average home value within Floresville at approx. $98000 this will increase the amount pain in city property taxes by approx. $424 annually.

The 2009 Christmas Along the Corridor and Festival of Lights Paradewill take place in downtown Floresville on Saturday December 12th beginning at 2pm. The event will feature Arts and Crafts booths, food vendors, music, an appearance from Santa Clause, a parade Festival of Lights after the sun goes down, and the lighting of the tree on the courthouse lawn. If you haven't been or are new to the Floresville area, this is a must due event.
