Northeast Tennessee has beautiful mountains. The spring time may bring flowers and birds to the lower lying areas in the northeast area of this incredible state, but beware of the clothes you wear hiking when you venture to the mountains!

Jonesborough Tennessee is the oldest town in Tennessee.  In 1776 North Carolina passed an enabling act where 100 acres of land would be reserved for the courthouse and public buildings of Washington County and a town established.  That town would become Jonesborough, named after Willie Jones, a prominent patriot and statesman.   Today, Jonesborough is home to the National Storytelling Festival and International Storytelling Center.  The town is rich with tradition and character.  The downtown area is quaint, bussling and the stores all tell a story of historical value.
