Johnson City began it's quest for a cleaner environment  back in 1989 as the first curbside recycling program in the State.  20 years later the cities comprehensive recycling program include curbside, commercial, office paper, E-waste and five convenient sites where recyclables can be dropped off.  In 2009 95,000+ tons of trash was collected and more than 20,500 of that was diverted into recycled materials.
The sites available to drop off your recycles have several different containers to break your goods into. They are: Newspaper, Phone Books, Magazines, Catalogs, Aluminum Cans, Glass Containers, Plastic Containers, Automotive Batteries and Cardboard

I was taught how to upload videos on active rain yesterday. (Thank you again Missy!!!) I had to go to youtube to get my embedded codes for my videos.  I had my teenager helping me (for pay, of course!) I asked her to go on my youtube account, download my video and get my code for me.  Well, she does all this, on several videos for me.  I go in behind her and click on the upload button to share with Twitter and Facebook.  This is where it gets funny.  This all goes to my "teenage" daughters facebook account!
