It has a wrap around porch and countryside views.  The inside of 238 Oak Glen Circle has those beautiful wood floors you find in older homes and large rooms.  The staircase has tons of orginal character, I can just imagine the stories that could be told while looking up the stairwell.  The bank that owns … (5 comments)

Have to love this drive home! - 08/14/11 02:09 PM
Driving home is usually not an issue for me.  I just take a deep breathe and take in the beauty of Northeast Tennessee.  This picture is taken driving over the Butler bridge around Watauga lake.  Watauga lake is especially wonderful because it is 80% Cherokee National forest.  The other 20% is residential, which for a large lake like Watauga, this is quite a great break down.  Watauga Lake is also surrounded by majestic mountains and views from every angle.  There are some fantastic listings on this lake as well.  please visit me for an exclusive list of homes, views and prices, … (4 comments)

The Hands On Regional Museum in downtown Johnson City is a perfect place to spend an afternoon with young people.  It is delightfully known as , "the place to discover!" The museum is geared towards fun learning and has interactive displays and events going on year round.  My daughters favorite was the grocery store.  They had a complete grocery store in a small version to fit small people!  They had carts, shelves stocked with food (with prices), a check out line and a cash register to take your money.  They also had a full service (small sized) bank.  A great place … (5 comments)

A Sundial special - 08/07/11 08:42 PM
This morning brought us rain. lots of it!  When life brings you rain, look for a photo shoot!  This is the sundial in my garden.  It is actually an urn.  I know, sounds morbid, but it really isn't.  When my husband passed 5 years ago, we wanted to have a special place to put his ashes.  You wouldn't believe how many cool and interesting urns are out there.  This one spoke to us, and we love it.  I hope you enjoy the photo.

Large lot...it's a personal preference - 08/07/11 02:18 PM
It's nice to be a part of a quiet neighborhood with a large level lot that speaks volumns! 150 Hollow Timbers Gray Tennessee is that house!  This house stands proud and allows it's owners to spread their wings and run for acres on this properties land.  Is that important?  Well that is a personal question.  Are you the type of buyer that wants to enjoy the fruits of a garden, barn and fenced in yard for the children and pets?  If so, then yes, it is important. 150 Hollow Timbers Gray Tennessee is located off the beaten path in a delightful neighborhood. Please … (4 comments)

Reflecting - 08/06/11 08:33 AM
I participated in the 3 day Breast Cancer walk last week-end and this week-end I am reflecting.  I went through my packet that I carried with me at the walk and came across this quote.  I liked it and wanted to share:
It is not enough to take steps which may some day lead to a goal; each step must be itself a goal and a step likewise. -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Working with your professionals - 08/05/11 08:34 AM
The one thing about our business is that we work together.  There are so many facets to our business and we are just the glue that pulls us all together and gets us to the closing table.  (at least we like to think we are)!  It is so important to keep relationships open, flowing and professional with all the people we work with.
My mortgage loan officers, Steve Reed and Gregg Pechmann, from Benchmark Home Loans in Johnson City Tennessee, recently put together a website to help out their fellow Realtors.  I sent them some of my top listings I needed … (4 comments)

Podcast is a great media - 08/04/11 05:48 AM
I recently sat down with Gregg Pechman with Benchmark Home Loans in Johnson City TN.  He is a social media guru in my opinion and really knows how to work the system.  One of his popular media types is his Podcasts.  Gregg has a small studio set up in his office and brings guests in to participate with him through a Podcast. Gregg Pechmann has it set up in a friendly, non threatening, non scary way!!  He sets you at ease, gives you a list of questions ahead of time, and off you go.  Here is the Podcast the two of … (3 comments)

Pay it forward: 3 day Breast Cancer Walk - 08/02/11 01:13 PM
This week-end was the second week-end in 2011 for the 14 day Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3Day Walk.  There are 14 cities in the tour and my goal is to walk in everyone of them and raise over $50,000.00 personally. So far I have walked in 5 of them, Atlanta, Michigan, Chicago, Boston and now Cleveland.  I have raised approximately $15,000.00.  I have a way to go to meet my goal, but every year is a bit larger than the year before.  This week-end was powerful, full of laughter, tears and emotions that cannot be put into words.  It is … (6 comments)
