Johnson City 101- The Fire fighters!! - 03/28/12 05:00 PM
We are in week 4 of the Johnson City 101 classes.  Last night was held at the fire hall #3 which is situated right next to the Police station (which was week#2).  They really had some great training for all of us.  I learned so much about how much training goes into being a fire fighter.  Their suits are pretty amazing as well.  We had a volunteer who got up there and put on the entire suit, and as she was being dresses, the fire chief was explaining each garment and the price of each piece.  Wow!  It cost's well over … (6 comments)

I have read numerous post lately about seller's markets.  I have questioned some of them, are you really in a sellers market?  I have yet to receive an answer showing me they are actually in a sellers market.  I have a hard time believing anyone has turned that corner. I'm sad to report, this is a true scenario happening right now.  Closing is scheduled for 11am this morning.  I get a call last night from selling agent.  The buyers own a bunch of shops around town.  (she doesn't go into what type of shops-however, I read the news).  They was a sting operation by the Johnson City police department AND the TBI. I posted my video of this great home in Johnson City Tennessee on several of my social media outlets, including Facebook.  I was really surprised at the amount of hits I received on Facebook compared to all the other sites.  What I didn't realize untill recently ( I know it's elementary- but I just didn't get it), is that when someone clicks on your video stream from another site, it goes to You Tube and is another click for amount of times your video has been viewed.  Interesting. Mike really takes the time to explain the difference between a goal and your mission statement.  I always thought they were pretty much the same, just one being much broader.  I didn't find the value in a mission statement, as long as I had the goals in place.  This post is very inspiring to go back to the drawing board and write up my mission statement...and re-access my goals.

We spent the week-end in Charleston, South Carolina and enjoyed a different side of it.  We usually shop and eat and peruse the galleries.  We decided to go a different direction this week-end.  We didn't go to all our favorite places, matter of fact, we didn't go to any of them.  We tried all new places, walked in different directions than we normally go and jumped in the car and drove to the Citadel.  It was just a fantastic time.  We learned a lot about this wonderful learning institution, toured the Chapel, dormitories, campus book store and stadium.  We talked to … (2 comments)

Are you listing or selling a condominium?  If you are, you need to be aware of financing obstacles associated with condos that are not FHA approved.  This can be an issue.  The FHA website is avaiable to the public to check and see if their condominium has been FHA approved.  Why is this important?  Because FHA has a great product, and secondary market lenders must finance FHA approved condos.

Serious, severe weather going on in Tennessee - 03/02/12 04:48 PM
Holy cow it's bad out there.  The trees are bending close to the ground, hail is coming and we have moved life to the basement.  Thank goodness for batteries and wii-fi card.   People be smart.  if you are in a mobile home, LEAVE.  Go to a shelter, there are many shelters available out there tonight.  This storm is very dangerous, already 6 deaths in Nashville.  The storm is producing golf ball size hail and hundreds of tornado's.  No TV tonight either, it's all weather!!  Be careful Tennessee!!  Read these directions I've posted.

Get rid of those inefficiencies! - 03/01/12 02:32 PM
This blog post is  part of a contest which focuses on the inefficiencies in our buisness and how we cope them them, or correct them.  (hopefully the latter).  Let's face it, we spend a lot of time and money in this business known as Real estate.  Any help we can give or receive is going to be a bonus to all of us.
