This morning this forsythia only had buds.  Now it's almost full bloom!
I thought I'd take a quick shot of it since tomorrow we're expecting rain and I don't think the blooms will hold up under much rain and wind.
As I said, this is a forsythia bush.  They grow almost wild here in Virginia and they are quite hardy. 
 When I was very young, around three years old, my grandaddy, who was very ill but still enjoyed a walk around the yard with me, would point out different flowers and tell me their names. I don't remember very much about my … (2 comments)

Beach Music in Petersburg, VA Today!! Calling All Shaggers! - 03/21/10 01:34 PM
The weather is just gorgeous today in the tri-cities. Feels like beach trips are not far off now. If you love  beach music you may want to extend that great feeling this Sunday afternoon.
The Fantastic Shakers, award winning beach music band, is hitting the stage at the Civic Center in Petersburg, VA around 3 PM.  They will be entertaining the locals until 7PM tonight.
It's a beautiful day for a ride down to Old Town to get out and see friends you've been missing all winter, have a drink, and take a spin on the dance floor doing the shag!
