It has been a very busy month in Shasta County this May. There were approximately 180 closed escrows last month, up nearly 20 transactions from March. Nearly half, or 47 percent, of all sales last month were foreclosures.
First-time homebuyers and investors are taking advantage of low interest rates and continue to drive the market.
The amount of inventory of bank owned properties continues to grow rapidly. For better or worse, the banks are very slow to release these properties for sale in the market as to not create an oversupply of housing inventory which would result in driving down house … (0 comments)
