I passed my brokers exam back in 2001 after having practiced real estate for over 10 years working for franchises, chains, and independent brokers.  Once I struck out on my own I needed to figure out not only how to make a living but also how to make a difference.  The National Association of REALTORS offers many different Designation Courses so I looked at each one to see what would benefit both my business and my clients.

Consumers & REALTORS Alert More Internet Scams In Real Estate Revealed
There are many new and existing Internet companies that are offering to cut REALTORS out of transactions to save you money.  BUNK..  The difference is that there are not only legal consequences to selling your home without proper documentation, representation, and disclosure, but there are the emotional complications of a real estate transaction.  Does a buyer really think that the world is full of honest sellers that will deal with them fairly?  Does a seller really think that everyone who they meet on the internet has good intentions? If you are one of the big gun REO listing agents that are not returning buyers agents calls, not submitting outside agents offers, not marking your properties pending or at minimum using the MLS to alert cooperating agents that the property has offers accepted subject to ratified contracts, removing keys or not placing them in the lockbox in the first place, or any of the other completely unethical practices we are now seeing out here...BEWARE we have long memories and so do the buyers. We also have boards and associations that have professional standards panels that would love nothing more than to … (7 comments)

OK so now Auctionis the new rage in buying property. I just saw a story on the morning news cast about how many buyers are getting great deals at auctions. Well here is my personal experience from last week.  I attended an auction for some land owned by ENRON.
