If you have been reading my blogs, you know that I live and work in Onslow County North Carolina home of Camp LeJeune Marine Base, New River Air Station and The Naval Hospital at Camp LeJeune all located in Jacksonville NC. Military families are my clients, friends, co-workers and neighbors. I cannot begin to tell you how much respect and gratitude I have for these families and their service to our country. They sacrifice their lives for you and me! If you ask most Americans if they support the troops, their answer would be "Yes". I believe that is true (9 comments)

Are you aware that under current law those serving in the military who buy their first home are not likely to be able to use the first time home buyers credit? I work with military families relocating to Camp LeJeune, New River Air Station and The Naval Hospital at Camp LeJeune in Jacksonville, N C and this has been such a disappointment to these families. Most military are only at a duty station for a short period of time and must sell the house they have purchased before the 36 month requirement in the current law is fulfilled--which means they are (11 comments)

It's a well know fact in the Jacksonville, Onslow County NC area----Camp LeJeune Marine Base hosts the very best 4th of July Celebration. The fireworks display is always awesome! This year will be no exception.
Join Marine Corps Community Service Semper Fit Division in partnership with Tyson Foods Saturday, July 4th at W.P.T Field on base for an evening filled with food, fun and music! A concert of patriotic music begins at 5:30 (make sure you carry lawn chairs and/or blankets) featuring Camp LeJeune's 2nd Marine Division Band and the Carteret Choral Society. The Kingsbridge on Queens Creek HOA held its second annual Block Party on Saturday. I don't live in this Hubert NC subdivision but I had the privilege of selling homes to some of the families and they invited me to their party.

The weather has been just beautiful here in Onslow County NC the last several days with highs in the mid to upper 70s. The average high temperature in Swansboro NC for the month of March is 64 and the average low is 42. We would like to think that Spring is here to stay but according to the weatherman, there is more cold weather coming this afternoon. Last week we looked at the Swansboro/Hubert Housing market in Onslow County, North Carolina and discussed how it was fairing in the current real estate market. This week, we are moving down the road to Richlands, a small, friendly town and outlying rural area which has been one of the more active residential areas in Onslow County in the past year. Military families relocating to Camp LeJeune have found this area very affordable and convenient. Yes, I've been MIA for about a week. I won't go into detail let's just say an unbelievably stubborn virsus/cold/flu (little one and me), life's curve balls, work and day to day chores bogged me down to an all-time low. I'm trying to dig my way out but progress is slow and sometimes painful! So, what effect has this absence from AR had on my business? Only time will tell but I know it will take its toll.
