                                                                         "24" TO END  MAY  24, 2010

Those of us die hard fans,  no matter the plot,  will miss our "24" fix each Monday evening.   Who can take the place of Jack Bauer and crew?      I don't see that happening for me.

Jack Bauer's last day on FOX will conclude when the final two hours of "Day Eight" air Monday, May 24 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).     Despite the fact that a feature film is forthcoming,  we are told,  Monday evenings will never be the same.    Say what you will,  but Jack remains my "hero" always.

Hope Jack can end his CTU career on a happy note,  but this is "24" .....       Goodbye for now,  Jack!

24   MONDAY  2/15/10     11PM TO 12AM

I always say:  never try to second guess 24 writers.   They just don't have the normal thought processes most of us do.    But I can ask the questions.

1.  Will Hastings and CTU crew be able to find Jack and help him escape the Russians?

2.  Will Renee return from her dark place and get her life back?

3.  Will Dana's past ruin her future?

4.  Will President Taylor help aid the world peace process?

I can't fathom a guess,  but I am anxiously awaiting Monday night at 9pm  EST,  2/15/10 to get more clues!

PS    Anyone heard the rumor Tony might be back?   Not my rumor,  mind you,  cause IDK.

24 Fans:   Don't Miss it!!

2-Night 4-hour Season Premiere Begins

SUN JAN 17 9 pm  EST   8 Central

JACK IS BACK!

Just HAD to reblog this valuable post:     less clutter in 2010,  new decade,  new attitude.    I LIKE IT!

Via Cindy Jones-Northern Virginia Real Estate & Military Relocation Services (RE/MAX Allegiance #1 RE/MAX Company in the World):

Is Your Home Ready for a Little Diet?
Take one house with closets already overflowing, throw in holiday decorations and a few deliveries from UPS and soon you have a house that is ready to explode. The holidays are a great time to put your home on a diet. A clean up of all of those items that have been sitting on the closet shelves for a year that you haven't used, clothes that you don't wear and old magazines gathering dust.

Over the years I have become acutely aware of the clean up and throw out process. With my numerous moves as a military spouse, emptying out my parents home of 45 years, downsizing and combining households, it has been a constant battle to sort out what is important and what needs to go. Along the way I've come to know my way to the local dump, Salvation Army and the phone number for various charities that will pick up larger donations. We are coming up on the anniversary of the last purge and have made a pact that anything in a box, except holiday decorations and true family heirlooms, must be tossed. If we didn't need it for a year then we can live without it forever.

When you are driving around do you ever notice the number of storage facilities that seem to be on every corner. In today's "throw away" society it seems a bit odd that there should be so much of a need for storage facilities. What is lurking behind all of those locked containers? Is it stuff we really need or is it easier just to tuck it away instead of dealing with it? How much money is being spent every year to store things that really should be headed to the dump or donated to a favorite charity? Could you have a vacation with the money instead?

Need some help getting started on the de-cluttering? It is over-whelming I can admit it! So here are a few ideas that helped get me started on the stuff purging:

  • Pick a room-doesn't matter where you start
  • Set a timeframe-only work on the room a couple of hours at a time
  • Sort through it-look at it once and decide if it is a keep, toss or donate
  • Don't reminisce-high school is long over, the faded corsages have got to go
  • Keep the space organized-have trash bags and plastic bins handy so that you aren't surrounded by piles
  • Repeat the process on the next room-move on the next day or next weekend to another space.
  • Reward yourself-trust me after you have made a run to the dump you want a reward

So take a look around and decide what you really need and what is ready to go. You might be surprised how good it feels to have put your house on a clutter diet.

What a wonderful time of year!  Christmas time and all the precious moments and memories we have!  Nothing seemed to make it more special so far than the first snow of the winter in East Tennessee.

If you have never visited the Smoky Mountains, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, or Gatlinburg,  now would be a great time to come and stay a while.    There is fabulous shopping,  the winter festival lights in all three cities are a sight to behold, and the mountains with snow are breathtaking!

Take a moment to visit Sevierville's website to see the world as we know it in East Tennessee.  You will be glad you did!

A very Merry and safe Christmas to all.

You know girls:  BFF's that like to hang out together end up shopping, styling, and redesigning a room or even an entire home.     The ideas get to flowing, maybe some great music,  a glass of wine,  and  BAM!   we have a redo!   Stuff Happens.

This happened on an October Saturday in good ole Kentucky.   I might add,  if I didn't live in God's country - -  East Tennessee,   I would be honored to call Kentucky home.       Lizette Fitzpatrick,  Broker, Artist, and AR Ambassador,  had invited me up for a day at Keeneland.    We never made it to Keeneland this trip due to rain.    But just take a look at what we did instead.

The kitchen was awesome to begin with,  but Lizette said "I have been thinking of changing" and that began the fun.    While she was elsewhere,  I bagged up the greenery over the cabinets and rearranged some of her great accessories.    We later shopped for a few additional goodies, and wow,  stunning redesign.

After I had returned home to Tennessee,  Lizette called and told me she had tweaked a few things and found a couple of items to complete the look.      This vignette in the corner was one of her finishing touches that looks incredible.

Next time you have a rainy Saturday afternoon and two designing women around,   just  IMAGINE and DREAM and you can create a one of a kind sanctuary of your own.      Fabulous fun!

One word of warning:  I have been known to begin removing wallpaper while friends were out of the room...

I was tagged by my friend and sister from another mother -  Lizette Fitzpatrick.   So here goes.

1.  Who is your favorite musical artist?     Hands down,  Elton John.    Sir Elton John!

2.  Who is your favorite artist?      Michelangelo.    Classic and stunning works.

3.  Who is your favorite blogger?    Chanel,  Lizette's "baby" diva dog.   She is quite the storyteller.

4.  If you could meet anyone (dead or alive)  who would it be and what is the most interesting thing        about them?     Sharon Stone.    She is my favorite actress.    She helped break the "glass ceiling" on women's salaries in films.

5.  What did you want to be when you grew up?     Clothing designer.    And I can't sew still today.

6.   What is the most interesting piece of trivia you know?   Eiffel Tower weight 7000 tons.

7.  If you could live in any point in history, what would it be and why?   1980's.   Fabulous, more is more, decadent 80's.    I was 20 years younger and loved the music of the 80's.

8.  What was the most interesting job you have ever held?     Probably my job during college.   I worked at Dollywood before it was Dollywood.   It was called Silver Dollar City back then.

'24' Fans Must Wait Until Jan. 2009

Upon reading that we won't see Jack until January 2009,  woe is us!    Or is it?   Only time and 11 months will tell.

Will we forget about Jack and his troubles?   His family?    The fate of the US?  The whole story line?

Stay tuned and mark your calendars.       We Miss You,  JACK!

As we approach the wonderful holiday season of Christmas,  I love to begin planning my decorations for my home,  to begin day after Thanksgiving.   As stagers and redesigners  we use our talents for others, but for Christmas, I first do my own home.   It really gets the juices flowing.

In the past few days I have been thinking of people (on my yet to be written list)  that really don't "need" anything.   We all have relatives and friends like that.    So,  I am also thinking that offering my services to decorate those special people's homes would be a welcome gift for them.    Most everyone loves the glitter, lights, and warmth of a finely decorated tree and mantel to match.   And we all know,   it is all the better when you have the designer eye for decor.

I think I will do it;  yes;  change that beloved aunt's home into the Christmas wonderland she will love!   I know we are all busy,  but maybe we can squeeze in one more tree,   and create some magic for the season for that special someone.    And an early "Happy Holidays" to everyone!
