How's the housing market in Ottawa? Brisk February sales keep Ottawa in Seller's Market. Another great month for Sellers and another frustrating and tough month for Buyers. Multiple offers are still very common and some 1st time homebuyers are finding the process very overwhelming... If I can say one thing... if you're a Seller ps: You'll probably have to buy too and the grass isn't always greener on the other side! How's the housing market in Ottawa? A Great Start to 2010 for Ottawa's Housing Market. I honestly have to say that being a Realtor in Ottawa is so rewarding and challenging - When I selected my career I wanted something that embraced the 2 above words. I don't like working behind a desk 24/7 and doing the same old thing everyday. I also love giving back to the community and helping people through one of the biggest investments they will probably ever make. I'm happy to report Ottawa Real Estate has experienced another great month!

How's the housing market in Ottawa? 2009 was a record year for resale home sales, despite the slow start. Suprisingly enough the month of December and the holidays did not slow down the real estate market in Ottawa. With 689 residential properties sold, we are still seeing several multiple offers situations and a low listing inventory. Buyers and Sellers were also still very interested in the housing market between Christmas and New years - with lots of showings and offers happenings around town.

I can honestly say this past month in Real Estate has been crazy and challenging as a Realtor (for myself anyways!) - with so little inventory on the market it's hard to keep your Buyers happy - we must practice patience! With practically every offer becoming a MULTIPLE offer scenario be ready to put your best foot forward and have your financing all figured out!

Well... the stats are in and according to Ottawa real estate board President Rick Snell "September resale home sales are the highest on record"! During the month of September members sold 1,220 residential properties through the MLS system which is an increase of 1.3% since last year."September was another record-breaking month for Ottawa resale home sales, capping off a very busy and active summer for Ottawa Real Estate Board members," said Board President Rick Snell.
