orleans on: Selling your home in Orleans - 01/05/10 09:34 AM
Over the holidays I was kept busy showing a few homes accross the city. I also came accross many Sellers who were present while selling their home in Orleans. If I can suggest one thing that will help expedite your sale... Don't interfere when your home is being shown! Let your Realtor do their job. Buying a home is an emotional experience and a big decision; when walking through their new potential home people like to "try on" a house to see if it's comfortable for them. This is very difficult to do if you, the Sellers, follow them around and

orleans on: Buying a home in Orleans - Agency Agreements - 12/23/09 09:52 AM
If you're a buyer who has been looking to buy a home in Orleans you have probably come accross a Realtor who would like you to sign a Buyer agency agreement. Once you have decided to begin your home search I strongly suggest interviewing three (3) Realtors in your area - where do you find these agents? Referrals from friends and family are always best, however you can also use the internet or open houses. As a buyer you have the right to be represented by your own Realtor during your real estate transaction. Calling the number on the sign doesn't work in

GRANITE MYTHS - Don't let common myths scare you away... When upgrading your home in Orleans there are a few products that are generally more utilised than others. In recent years granite has become a popular surface choice for bathroom and kitchen countertops. Some homeowners hesitate to use it because of myths about it being unsafe or difficult to care for. Here are a few myths dispelled: 1- Granite is absorbent: Granite qualifies as impervious to water and is actually less absorbent than some solid (plastic) surface products. 2- Granite stains easily: Granite is resistant to stains. orleans on: Pricing your Orleans home - 11/30/09 11:10 AM
When it comes time to pricing your Orleans home how do you determine your list price? Did you know that even 5% over market value can discourage potential buyers from viewing your home? It's important to understand that your homes selling price is determined by the current real estate market conditions and the price a ready and willing buyer is ready to pay. It is NOT determined by an appraisal, what you paid, what you need, what you want, what your neighbor says or even what another Realtor says. If your house is not priced competitively for the current market, people

When you decide it's time to sell your home in Orleans there are over 2,200 Realtors available to you - but how do you select which one? First it is important for you, as a Seller, to understand that the Real Estate market is changing and the way Realtors market your home is changing.
