toilet: Oh, for goodness sake...put the lid down! - 03/22/10 06:16 PM

I have spent much of the afternoon looking through listings on the MLS for my clients and have been shocked and (may I say ever so bluntly) HORRIFIED at how many pictures I saw of bathrooms with the lid up on the toilet. Okay...for many men, this is probably "no big deal"...but I actually saw one with the lid up and full of yellow pee. I know...I know...TMI...but yeeeeeeeeeeesh!
We are all professionals here...right? But...sometimes I think we get so excited about getting the listing and taking pictures...that we don't pause and look for things others may be seeing in the … (112 comments)

There's nothing quite more humbling than realizing you're not as smart as you thought you were. I think one of the first time's I realized that was when I was on my own and had no clue on how to stop a toilet from overflowing. I was on the phone with my Dad holding a plunger in one hand and getting step by step instructions and using my foot to mop up the floor with a towel at the same time. Humbling.
