First time home buyers can qualify for a tax credit up to $8000. This is not a loan! Imagine this. It's January 2010, and you just filed your tax return. But, in 2009 you bought your first home. Well, on top of what you would normally get back, add a whopping $8000. Now how's that for a stimulus? But before I say another thing, check with your tax advisor first.

Recently I attended a web strategy training in Garner NC with Exit Brokers and trainer Key Yessaad. I left with a better understanding and appreciation of how our customers think, and I learned how to deliver what they want. Not only will implementing the newly learned web strategy make me a better REALTOR®, it will improve my lead capture rate. In turn if I am as good as I think I am, I will covert more leads into satisfied homeowners and sellers, which means more closings!

It is true that home sales are slower than normal and some property values are off slightly, but we have a better than average market in Fayetteville, because of our huge military presence. It is noteworthy that active duty military, military retirees, veterans, civilians employed by the Department of Defense, and contractors contribute a gazillion dollars to the local economy each month! Some neighborhoods in our area have actually appreciated according to an article published in The Fayetteville Observer dated February 7, 2009.
