charlotte nc real estate: You can't handle the Truth ! (or maybe you can). When the Hard-line statement on Problems is better than a sugar coating
- 02/27/11 09:38 AM
Many people have a strong attachment toward their home. Any critical comment is generally received with a glint eye. Here in Charlotte, this emotion is is felt by those who either had a pre-inspection report, or had critical comments from their agent. There should be no sugar coating as to the Crux of what is deficient. My Advice ...Fix the issues, or suffer lingering amongst the rest of the unsold. The moment the open minded understand the window of opportunity that exists to sell the property, the quicker the results (and offers) come pouring in. Most buyers don't want

charlotte nc real estate: When To Go "Long" in this present housing market
- 12/06/10 11:40 AM
I love reading the "gloom" emitted from sages of Masters on Housing. Death becomes them :) It makes the end of the world inconsequential Granted, Housing took in the neck from the bubble market ...but you never realize market gains at the top of the market...It's always at the bottom. Here is the skinny on why this is the time to buy. #1. It can't go much lower. Try not wait for the "ultimate timing". You will miss it. Some homes are selling so low, that you can't even buy the materials required to construct a home ... let alone finish it

After wading through hundreds of Charlotte homes for sale on line...most people start to suffer indigestion caused by : IHSO-Internet Home Shopping Overload. So, a heads up to you Charlotte home buyers, there comes a time when you have to put boots on the ground and turn the doorknobs. charlotte nc real estate: Kenilworth Homes in South Charlotte Near Ballantyne
- 02/04/10 04:19 AM
If you are looking for excellent schools, a great location, a decent price and a beautiful home, look no further than Kenilworth in South Charlotte. It’s centrally located between Ballantyne and Blakeney with just a ten minute drive to I-485 (typically less than 45 minutes to uptown Charlotte during rush hour) making this community enviable in terms of sheer convenience. The homes sizes in Kenilworth range from 2200-4600 heated square feet, some with finished basements. The neighborhood was built in the late 1990’s to early 2000’s by Ryan Home Builders. The homes have open flowing floor plans and are

charlotte nc real estate: Charlotte Real Estate-Orchid Hill Homes Near Ballantyne-NC
- 02/04/10 12:28 AM
A home town favorite, Saussy Burbank builders developed the community of Orchid Hill (near Ballantyne) in South Charlotte back in the late 1990’s. This developed has beautiful craftsman style homes with good sized lots of a quarter to a third of an acre. The community does not have a swim club and tennis courts, however, our local YMCA is just minutes away, unlike other areas of the country…is extremely popular and well supported by our community. You’d have to see it to believe it, but our YMCA’s are nothing less than top shelf! Homes for sale in Orchid Hill have

charlotte nc real estate: Popping the cork too early, Just because you have an accepted offer doesn’t mean the deal is done.
- 10/23/09 01:45 PM
Easy Trigger, we still have miles to go before we sleep on this one. We are still missing important links to a popped bottle of bubbly. Here is why I’m throwing a little rain on your parade. You went for an aggressive loan package based on your credit. Just because you can afford the payments doesn’t automatically get you a loan. There will be a heightened look at your credit worthiness that mirrors a Top Secret clearance ( sorry ..that’s how things are done in this new era of home buying) Secondly there is this thing that requires you

charlotte nc real estate: Never underestimate the power of one
- 10/20/09 07:20 AM
One moment, one set of circumstances, one chance to get it right. Sure, we have team spirit. Yes, there are advisory resources. And it always takes two to tango. However, never underestimate the power of one. We have a thin line to walk in order to get the job done right. One minute they say I want it, the next they object. We have many moments. But it is always one moment that culminates the transaction. Making the transaction close comprises of your determination, your encouragement, and your diligence. How many times do we feel like Don

charlotte nc real estate: The NASCAR® Chase for the Cup has Charlotte N.C. Racing to the Speedway.
- 10/17/09 07:38 AM
Charlotte loves NASCAR® and NASCAR® loves Charlotte. There's a bunch of racing for the cup going on right in our backyard. On a cool October day, things are heating up for Charlotte NASCAR® fans. The Banking 500 is on for tonight and it should prove to be one heck of a race. There is a twist in the name of the race from last year’s Bank of America 500. It’s called The Banking 500 (with Bank of America’s logo) I guess BOA is playing this a little low key, (But their logo is there?) Oh well…They paid for it. All the

charlotte nc real estate: Another exciting Charlotte NC Columbus Day.
- 10/12/09 12:31 PM
The guy who started the largest real estate bonanza in history had to be a Realtor® at heart. He opened the doors to a couple of continents. Had some wealthy clients and spread the word in his advertising campaign that the eastern hemisphere is on sale Unfortunately he had the wrong hemisphere and thought he had traveled to India. The point is that he closed the deal (They had some pretty bad maps back then.) So it is today we honor his bold voyage of 1492. Roll the clock forward 517 years and a few real estate developments later, and I

charlotte nc real estate: Why I love Charlotte N.C. (even though Banks in our town are getting some recent bad press)
- 10/09/09 02:36 PM
The number one reason I live and love Charlotte N.C. is the People. Southern charm allows the assimilation of many folks from diverse areas (not just the U.S.A) to be welcome into our fair city. Our diversity is expansive. Name a country or a section of our country, and it seems their heritage is nicely represented. I guess it comes with all the diverse companies here in our region. Most people assume Charlotte = banking jobs. Well it does. Bank of America and Wachovia /Wells Fargo have a huge footprint here. But, that is just the tip. How about the

charlotte nc real estate: Even Gator Hunting is Easier Than This Charlotte real Estate Market.

Well after dealing with a stressful family matter that included death and handling of an estate for weeks and finally getting a resolve, I took time off for for a little R&R with my brother in the Low Country of South Carolina. I went on a Gator hunt! My First. (Yes it was Legal) Holy Smoke! Now I know this story may not Pass as PC. Hopefully my clients understand. But the truth is all I have to present. This post is not your usual Realtor(r) post. Thankfully my wife Jane minded the store in my absence. So this is

charlotte nc real estate: Huntersville NC is a great Place to live. Another great Charlotte Area location
- 10/03/09 08:25 AM
Huntersville real estate was (and still is) sought out due to its great schools and its ideal location. Back in 1990, Huntersville was just a sleepy little town of 3,000. Now (in 2009), it has a population of over 43,000. What's the draw? A few things: Huntersville is just 15 miles north of Charlotte and just 18 miles northeast of the Charlotte-Douglas Airport. It's nestled in between Lake Norman and the city of Charlotte. In real estate location is king, but, other elements must exist for such continued growth. And Huntersville has the other elements. It offers all the amenities of city
