southborough or southboro: Southborough or Southboro - It's Still a Lovely Town - 08/07/10 12:38 PM

The Town of Southborough - However it is spelled
There are two ways to spell the name of this convenient town that is located in Worcester County. "Southborough" is the more formal spelling but many of the residents spell the town as its shortened "Southboro."
The Town of Southborough
In its early days Southborough was known as "Stony Brook" and was actually part of the nearby Marlboro (or Malborough) in the 1600s. The Town of Southborough did not become a town on its own until July 17, 1727.
