Looking for deal on land in Western North Carolina! - Still Woods, Brevard, Dunns Rock 28712 - 11/22/10 12:32 PM
If you're looking for a great building lot, in a quiet mountain setting, close to town but still in the woods, in a neighborhood with nice homes, and you want it all for a great price...then this is the deal for you! Over 2 acres with hardwoods, a good creek, and a level building site make this a great piece of property. The price makes it a great deal! The seller says SELL so this land is priced at only $35,000! That's well below similar properties in the area and less than half of the tax value. This land for sale (0 comments)
Sweet Holiday Memories - 11/21/10 10:52 PM
There are few things that conjure up memories of my childhood quite the way cooking does. The simplest things like the smell of bacon cooking in the morning or the perfect summer cantaloupe takes me back to my grandmother’s kitchen in Pine Island, Louisiana where I spent some of my summer vacations as a child. This time of year, though, I wait anxiously for fresh cranberries to show up in the grocery store so I can make my mother’s cranberry bread. It has been a seasonal tradition in my family for as long as I can remember and now, every loaf (0 comments)

Where to eat in Asheville, NC - 11/15/10 04:18 PM
Sometimes, nothing will satisfy like a big juicy hamburger hot off the grill, spilling over with all your favorite toppings. That is certainly the case with my new favorite hamburger place - Five Guys Burger and Fries. These days, when you can find a fast food hamburger on every corner, you have to wonder how a place like Five Guys can survive. They survive quite well and with good reason - The menu is simple and the food is fresh, full of flavor, and every burger is made to order...just for you. Truth is, Five Guys could teach Burger King (0 comments)
Six things you need to know about buying land. - 11/09/10 02:35 PM
So you've decided that you want to buy some land where you can build that mountain place you've always wanted. Or maybe you've decided to add real estate to your investment strategy. Whatever your motivation may be, buying land now while prices are low is a good move in my book. But what do you need to know about buying land? Before you head out with your GPS in hand, do some serious thinking and know the answers to these questions. What style home will you be building? Do you plan on having a walk out basement, a sprawling one story (2 comments)
It's Tough being Tough - 11/02/10 03:42 PM
Despite the age old axiom that says we should focus our time and energy on listings, most agents I know would gladly trade two sellers for one good buyer these days. So firing a buyer, any buyer, seems counterintuitive in many ways. But that's exactly what we have had to do twice in the last 45 days. They both had completely unrealistic expectations for our market and what to expect in their price range. One in particular also had no respect for our knowledge or our time. A double whammy in my 'how to fire a client' book! The internet has (0 comments)
