Spring is just around the corner here in the mountains and in a month or so, we'll be seeing all the signs of new growth popping up. These days, the local Brevard NC real estate market is a little like spring and is showing its own modest signs of growth.

It happened to Robert the other day when he was out at Connestee Falls Country Club, just south of Brevard, NC. I wish I had a dollar for every time I heard those comments from sellers and buyers. I haven't met a seller yet who says "Heck yea...let's just give it away to first person with a pulse". Likewise, I've never once had a buyer tell me they want to pay too much for a house, no matter what. But the first time we meet with a seller or a buyer I can guarantee that we'll hear one of those statements.

Spring has come to the mountains of western North Carolina, along with a modest increase in real estate sales activity.
In March 2011 there 28 single family residential closings in Transylvania County, compared to 15 the year before.
