By the end of 2009, the Transylvania County, NC real estate market was down only slightly from 2008. Like most of the country, real estate has not rebounded from the bountiful days of 2005 or 2006, but there is good news that the "free falling" seems to have slowed.

For the last week, we have been caring for a wonderful dog named Charlie while his foster parents were out of town for Thanksgiving. He was rescued as a stray and orignally they were just going to foster him until we could find a permanent home. But they just called to let us know they are back in town and have decided to keep Charlie forever! I'm so happy for them....and for Charlie. He's a wonderful dog and we've had a blast with him. He swiped his card as usual, but as the purchase amount approached $19.00 the pump began to slow down and when it reached $20.00 even, it stopped. Strange.
