Although I signed up on Active Rain in May 2007, unfortunately for me, I didn't start actively parctipating in the site until mid May 2008 after attending a seminar given by Jim Marks and Dustin Luther. 
Six weeks later, on July 1, 2008, I found my website on the first page of Google for my keywords.

What Advantages does Blogging on Active Rain Offer to My Clients and to Me?
The people who founded and designed the Active Rain platform have a strong knowledge of SEO and real estate and have designed a blogging platform and social network that offer a very powerful tool to those of us in the real estate industry.
How do I know this?  I've seen my personal website come up to the top of Google for terms like Costa Mesa homes over time , and better yet, I've seen blog posts come to the top of Google in a matter of hours.
