I'm always interested in different things going on around my hometown of Clearwater,Florida - You may not know that we have an extensive Parks and Recreation department and the County also offers so much too - recently this upcoming event caught my eye - with 1 son in Cub Scouts and one on the way I thought..."Who knew you really could eat the Plants outside" - I just thought that was something my boys did(LOL). We see lots of tourists visit our beaches this time of year and many may not know that Clearwater Beach has a ban on alcohol of any kind. Being caught with any alcohol on Clearwater beach property can cost you a ticket of $113 even if you're over 21 - so my advise is "Don't get caught drinking on Clearwater Beach - leave the alcohol in your condo or at home.
While this may surprise you, it is part of Clearwater's on-going commitment to keeping our beaches family friendly and safe.

If you are in the Clearwater Area be sure to make it a point to catch at least one sunset at Pier 60 - it's a special place with a variety of of artists, performers and musicians that all come out to enterain and the best part is it's all FREE. We've owned a home in Clearwater for over 14 years and we can tell you it's a great place to live and own real estate!
