homes for sale: The real estate market in Tulsa - 07/31/08 01:55 PM

Contrary to other parts of the country our real estate market is thriving! Our home values have increased a modest 6% and sales are strong. It's a good time to sell a home, a wonderful to buy a home and a superb time to obtain a mortgage.
Our average sales price is less than $150,000. Homes stay on the market for an average of 65 days before oing under contract. For a 12 month period ending March 2008, 45 homes sold for more than $1 million and 41 were in the immediate metro area.
