I was asked to host the Real Estate Today Talk Show on AM 1460 today from 11am - 1pm and although I was nervous and in "fear" of ending up with dead air space, I took it as an opportunity to gather as much information that I could to help and assist the listeners of the Real Estate Talk Show in itself. I talked about how we can save on heating costs this winter by presenting helpful tips such as lowering your heat to 67 degrees and dressing warmer at home, weatherstripping your doors and windows, loweting the temperature on the water heater. I also discussed a fuel assistance program that the City of Brockton offers if the perosn applying qualifies for. I discussed in detail Joe Kennedy's Program Citizens for Oil: Contact Information:
Citizens Energy Heat Assistance
♦ Information and oil heat application: 1-877-JOE-4-OIL
(Oil heat applications will be accepted starting December 3, 2007)
<!--Application download: <a title="External link to the Citizens Energy web site" href="http://www.citizensenergy.com/documents/Applications/ClientApplication.pdf">Oil Heat Application</a><br>-->♦ Distrigas application: 1-866-GAS-9918
This program if accepted will deliver a one time delivery of 100 gallons of oil, which can be heloful to those in need.
My "public radio fears" were put to rest after a successful show today and how I define success is this. If any information we discussed on the show today helped just one person listening then it was well worth any anxieties I may have had about making today's show informative and helpful.
God Bless
