Here in the Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh area spring is in the air, so today, I decided to take the advise I recently posted in my Spring Forward post,  and get a jump on some of the items that have been on my to do list that just seem to get put off for one reason or another. Before relocating to central North Carolina almost eight years ago our family spent what we consider to be one of the most memorable times of our lives in "Americas' Paradise" the U.S. Virgin Islands. We had the good fortune of spending 3 years on the lovely island of St. Croix and then an additional 3 years on its beautiful sister island of St. Thomas.

The Triangle Multiple Listing Service released its area market trend report today which documented a number of positive trends in the Triangle region. For the month of January new listings declined by 4.7% while overall inventory decreased from 17,612 homes in January 2009, to 15,994 homes listed through January 2010, a 9.2% decrease over last year at the same time.
