westside condos: One Thought - 04/25/09 10:26 AM
By Coco Clayman-Cook What is your thought of the day? Each morning when I wake up I try to give myself a thought for the day. Then I try to find time during the day to take a deep breath and concentrate of that thought. I find that it centers me and helps me to stay focused. Some examples of powerful thoughts: Money comes to me easily and frequently.I am a light filled being. My work helps others. My life is free of stress.Abundance is everywhere.I have every thing I need to succeed.I am grateful for all that I have.I am loved and

westside condos: Vertical Life - 04/22/09 04:11 PM
By Coco Clayman-Cook There is so much to love about the vertical life. One of my favorite things about living vertically is the simultaneous advantages of living in a private residence while being surrounded in the ultimate in comfort and safety. When I come home I am treated to the privacy of my own residence. I am completely unaware of the people who live above and below me. My home is quiet, serene and free of anyone else's influence. At the same time I never have to worry about coming home to a dark front door, or worry that I might

westside condos: Green Kitchens - 2 - 04/14/09 09:15 AM
By Coco Clayman-Cook Two important elements in any green kitchen design are countertops and flooring. There are ample choices in green countertops depending on your taste and budget. You can even utilize recycled tiles reclaimed from demolished sites. You'd be amazed at what you can find. There are also tiles and other countertops made from recycled paper, hemp, engineered stone, even concrete. This is a fast growing market so there is already a wide array of color choices to choose from. Green flooring is also seeing a grand expansion. Bamboo is one of the more popular floorings on the market. It

westside condos: Green Home Electronics Tips - 02/15/09 01:54 PM
By Coco Clayman-Cook Did you know that as long as appliance is plugged in it drains electricity, driving your power bill through the roof and wasting precious energy? One simple way to help the environment and save money at the same time is to unplug appliances when you are not using them. Sometimes it isn't convenient to have to plug appliances in repeatedly. Try to think sensibly about which plugs you don't need plugged on a daily basis. In my home office I was able to take my computer, printer and monitor and plug them into an appliance saving power strip. Whenever

westside condos: Crunching the Condo Numbers - 09/13/08 04:27 PM
by Coco Clayman-Cook The economy has changed significantly in the last two years. With gas prices at an astronomical high, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that business is changing and about to change even more. While the real estate market continues to stumble there is one area of the market that is stepping firmly into the limelight; the luxury condo market. Many of my clients are in the financial fields and look at condos on a price per square foot basis. Some of the funniest conversations I have had have been trying to explain to someone from Goldman

westside condos: On The Bright Side - 06/25/08 02:25 PM
While no one is overjoyed with the current down turn in housing values there is a new positive note for some LA Condo owners. The Los Angeles County Assessor, Rick Auerbach, announced recently that a reassessment was done of a group of homes and condominiums purchased between July 1, 2004 and June 30, 2007. The reassessed value of the homes will result in an average tax savings of $750 on October's bill. Market Trends have shown us time and again that prices will fluctuate and then once again rally. While it is small comfort to have reduced taxes during a market

westside condos: Westside Style - 12/06/07 12:56 PM
Convenience, elegance and style, that's what living on the Westside of Los Angeles is all about. Today I want to feature a Westwood property that shines in "The Jewel" of Los Angeles: The Westford. This sumptuous residence was built in 1980 and adds a dignified silhouette to the famous Wilshire Corridor. The Westford's famous floor-to-ceiling windows provide a breath taking view of the green hillsides of Bel Air, the sun setting of the Pacific Ocean and the twinkling lights of Wilshire Boulevard. This full service building is chock full of luxurious amenities from its valet parking to their well appointed exercise room,
