I was barely out of the lot when the hub caps fell off, the backfiring started and the 8-track player ate my Anne Murray 8-track. That's the last time I buy a....wait a sec....oh, Cody the realtor?? Alberta Beats the National Trend and Posts a Drop in Bankruptcies - 05/05/10 02:28 PM
Reading a report today from ATB Daily economic comment on Canadian bankruptcies i found it interesting that In February 2010 there were 637 Albertans who filed for bankruptcy. That number is down from a total of 684 in January and 706 in February 2009. Alberta and P.E.I were the only two provinces to see a decline from January in the number of bankruptcies, as filings in the three largest provinces of Ontario, Quebec and B.C. all rose by more than 10%. After holding steady in the range of 600 to 800 monthly bankruptcy filings from 1998 to 2005, Alberta consumer bankruptcies dropped to record levels during the recent economic (0 comments)

Calgary’s housing market continues at a healthy and balanced pace, according to figures released by the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB®). The number of single family homes sold in April 2010 in the city of Calgary was up 5 per cent from the same time a year ago, while condominium sales saw an increase of 10 per cent from the same time a year ago. April 2010 saw 1,352 single family homes sold in the city of Calgary. This is a decrease of 3 per cent from 1,396 sales in March 2010. In April 2009, single family home sales totaled 1,290.
