Mid-Columbia Association of Realtors Annual Fundraiser A Success! - 07/19/10 07:24 PM
The 6th Annual Mid-Columbia Association of Realtors (MCAR) Annual Fundraiser was once again a big success.  This year the event for  Habitat For Humanity consisted entirely of a Silent Auction.  Almost $6000 was raised to facilitate Habitat's ongoing projects in the Gorge and all funds raised stay in the Gorge. Last year's proceeds contributed to a septic system for the 17th house built in The Dalles area. Approximately $40,000 has been raised for Gorge area Habitat projects in the 6 years that MCAR has been holding the fundraiser.

Roundabout Dedication The Dalles, Oregon - 07/18/10 09:44 AM
It was 107 degrees last Thursday when the new Roundabout at the Eastern Gateway to The Dalles, Oregon was dedicated.  I was there as an Ambassador for The Dalles Chamber of Commerce.  U.S. Senator Ron Wyden and Congressman Greg Walden were on hand as well as local and state officials involved in the planning and construction of the project.  (You'll notice I'm a little late with this post, The Dalles Chronicle's story came out last Friday(!) but we've been busy working on the annual MCAR fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity that was held on Tuesday - more on that in my … (0 comments)
