No, it's not a death wish. Although I will be praying NOT to die...
In three weeks time I will be running my very first Marathon in San Antonio, TX...the Rock N Roll Marathon. For those that aren't familiar with a Marathon distance, that's 26.2 miles.
I'll say it again. 26.2 MILES!!!!!!

What am I THINKING??
Prior to August 2009, the furthest I had run was 3 miles in a 5K race. And believe me, those 3 miles FELT like a marathon! I was always the girl in school who tried to be "sick" for the P.E. physical fitness test where you … (5 comments)

If you've lived in McKinney, Texas for any length of time, chances are good that you've run into signs notifying the public of upcoming races. Yes, McKinney is home to many 5K, 10K, 1 mile fun runs and even Half Marathons and Triathlons.
On weekends runners can be found along the hike and bike trails. Cyclists can be found maneuvering the hilly terrain that makes McKinney beautiful. And now that the temperatures are dropping I expect to see many more outside enjoying the weather.
