2011 - The Year of Ending Procrastination...My New Years Resolu... - 12/31/10 04:23 PM
I love a fresh start...
You know the feeling you got when you went shopping for school supplies in August? The way it feels when you used to crack open that Trapper Keeper - the cute purple one with the kitty on the front?

You know the feeling you get when you tie on a new pair of running shoes and walk into the gym you just joined - looking around at all the machines trying not to look like a COMPLETE novice (even though your muffin top gives it away anyway)?
Or how about the feeling you get when you post your new … (2 comments)

Acreage Properties in McKinney TX | Want the Best of BOTH Worlds? - 12/30/10 05:54 PM
McKinney TX is a North Dallas suburb located about 25 miles from the Big D. While we may be a good 35 to 45 minute commute from the Urban downtown Dallas area, we're not exactly all "in the sticks" either.

Some of my relocating clients often ask me about acreage properties in McKinney, large lots in McKinney or horse properties in McKinney. Well, depending on your price point, McKinney has something to offer ALL buyers - everything from condos and townhomes, to patio homes, subdivision lots, estate lots on up to 100+ acreage properties.

Shopping in Dallas TX | Dallas is #2 Best Shopping City According to Forbes (#1 if you ask ME) - 12/28/10 10:51 PM
Making a move isn't always an easy decision. With a single person, it's not so bad. You either accept a promotion in a new city, or decide to move to be closer to family, the beach, friends or whatever. No one to talk it over with. No need to have a family meeting. You just make the decision, pack up and hit the road.
But when the move involves husband and wife the stress-o-meter can certainly crank up. If the move isn't driven entirely by a mandatory or necessary job relocation then it might be that one person has some convincing … (4 comments)

Dog Parks in McKinney TX | Why I'll Be Seeing YOU at a Dog Park Nearby in 2011! - 12/27/10 04:51 PM
I'll becoming MUCH more acquainted with the dog parks in and around McKinney TX in 2011 all because of THIS GUY...

Meet RANGER!
Santa brought the Daugherty Family a 12-week old British Creme Golden Retriever for Christmas this year! He's soft, cuddly and has TONS of energy (when not sleeping all day like a newborn).
Ranger is not our first dog. In fact, on my 29th birthday, I got THIS guy...

This is Senor Paco. We got this festive Chihuahua when he was just 6 weeks old. Right now he's 5 years old, and weighs just 6 pounds. He also … (4 comments)

Dear Tony Romo - Congrats on the Engagement & 6 Reasons You Should Move to McKinney, TX! - 12/20/10 03:48 PM
In case you missed the news over the last weekend, Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys recently got engaged to his girlfriend - Miss Candice Crawford. I was happy for him. He's taken some flack over the last few years in regards to his personal life, and you know what - they're a gorgeous couple.
Another thought also came to mind...I wonder where they'll MOVE once married.
So, I pulled together the following letter for Tony & his bride-to-be:

Dear Tony and Candice,
Congratulations on the news of your engagement! Like many newly engaged couples, … (6 comments)

A Kodak Moment - The Moment our Nation Changed Forever - 12/17/10 02:56 PM
Active Rain is GREAT at encouraging members to write excellent blog content. One successful way is to offer contests. Yes, most of us in the real estate community are quite competitive. I'm no different. So when I saw the Kodak Moment contest, I knew I had to share the most poignant photo I've ever captured on film. Here is my contest submission:

By itself, this image may not convey a lot of emotion.
By itself, you can't tell that the world as we know it has just changed forever.
But, if you knew that this photo was taken from the top of … (7 comments)

Year-End Closings When Cash is Tight - An Important Lesson to McKinney TX Home Sellers - 12/16/10 05:25 PM
For homeowners in the McKinney TX and surrounding Collin County area, December 31 brings not only New Years Eve celebrations, but also a bill for real estate taxes. Wah...whaaa...I know, I know...I'm a Debbie Downer. So why bring it up? If you are buying or selling a home during this time of year, you need to be aware of how paying real estate taxes could impact you!

If you sell your McKinney or Collin County home around November, December, or January realize that your lender will probably require that the year's real estate taxes be PAID IN FULL before the property can transfer … (0 comments)

So, why did I decide to return for a second time?
