Many Veterans are not aware of the Specially Adapted Housing (SAH) and Special Housing Adaptation (SHA) grants that are available. The grants provide disabled Veterans with the opportunity to make necessary adaptations to their home in order to meet their needs. Veterans are allowed to use only one of the grants, SAH or SHA.Veterans who have lost/lost use of both their lower or upper extremities qualify for the Specially Adapted Housing Grant. Municipal vs. District Water in Colorado Springs - 12/23/09 11:53 AM
Water supply may be overlooked by buyers when purchasing a home in Colorado Springs.  Unless someone has their own well, homes in Colorado Springs are supplied with Municipal or Association/District water. Municipal water is provided by Colorado Springs Utilities while the water for newer areas such as east of Marksheffel Rd, is provided by Districts. One difference between the utility company and water districts is where the water comes from. For example, Colorado Springs Utilities provides water from reservoires while the Cherokee Metropolitan District's utilizes well water. Colorado Springs Homes - Gold Hill Mesa - 12/18/09 04:29 PM

Gold Hill Mesa is located on the west side of Colorado Springs just south of Hwy 24 and West of I-25. Gold Hill Mesa is close to Downtown Colorado, Old Colorado City, Bear Creek Park, a dog park, and Garden of the Gods.
This area started new construction in 2005 when John Laing was the primary builder in the area. After John Laing filed for bankruptcy in February 2009, new home builders entered the area and are maintaining similar home designs (mid-1900s) to match the existing homes in the neighborhood.
