Bank employee? You may not be able to buy that short sale property. - 01/13/11 10:35 AM
For agents who have buyers that are bank employees:

If a buyer is an employee of a bank, submitting an offer on a short sale property that is held or serviced by that same bank can be viewed as a conflict of interest. 
I recently had this occur where the bank revoked the short sale approval on a property one week from closing due to a conflict of interest.
The bank's view is that the employee can have an unfair advantage whether they know someone in the liquidation department, somehow find out what is owed, or what the investor might … (5 comments)
