Home sales decreased by 3.6% in El Paso County for the month of April when compared to March. Compared to one year ago, April sales were 5.6% lower. There were 44 fewer single family home sales in April 2011 when compared to April 2010. There were also 567 additional single family homes for sale in April 2010. In order for the market to stabilize and to create more demand, inventory levels need to remain low while home sales continue to increase. Home inventory decreased by 22.1% for the month of January 2009 when compared to August 2008. Looking back to 2008, we the highest number of Single Family Homes for sale in June which is not surprising since inventory is normally highest during the summer months in Colorado Springs.
Single Family Home Inventory in the Pikes Peak MLS has also decreased by 9% when comparing January 2009 to January 2008.

Homes sales dropped by 11.6% in El Paso County for the month of October when compared to the previous month of September.
Compared to October 2007, there were 74 fewer single family home sales in October 2008.  Although there were fewer sales than this time last year, there were an additional 629 single family homes on the market in October 2007.
The average ($230,012) and median ($189,000) sales price slightly decreased when compared to the previous month of September.

Home inventory decreased by 4.1% for the month of August when compared to June 2008.  Single Family Home Inventory in the Pikes Peak MLS has increased by 17% when comparing August 2008 to January 2008. 
We had the highest number of Single Family Homes for sale in June; inventory is normally highest during the summer months in Colorado Springs. 
Due to the lower number of sales in August, the inventory for single family homes slightly increased from 7.4 months in July to 8 months for August.  Colorado Springs will reach a balanced market when inventory drops down to 6 months.

Homes sales dropped by 12% in El Paso County for the month of August when compared to the previous month of July. Although total single family home sales dropped, the inventory for single family homes in the Pikes Peak MLS also declined.

I just discovered the Colorado Springs Police Department Police Blotter.  It has been around  since 2000 and makes crime and 911 calls in Colorado Springs available to the public via the Internet.  Of course, the Colorado Springs Police Blotter does not log every single phone call received.  Individuals are innocent until proven guilty, therefore, information on this site can change and is for informational purposes only.

University Park is located off of Union between Austin Bluffs and Academy Blvd.  The area can be accessed off of Academy or Union.  Many of the homes in this area offer privacy while still being able to enjoy nearby conveniences.  There are no traffic lights when leaving University Park so getting out can be a little tricky during high traffic times especially if you are turning left!
