If you're new to our blog, you should know we are passionate about promoting rescuing shelter dogs. In our 20 years together, Mel and I have rescued 5 shelter dogs and a stray... we currently have four rescues, one of whom we adopted from Hood River Adopt A Dog. Our dogs have added so much to our lives, we don't know what we'd do without them. It breaks our hearts to see these poor abandoned pups wanting nothing more than a home of their own. Nope, this adorable little guy isn't named after the reindeer, but rather after his affinity for literally "prancing" around as he runs and plays so proudly. Have you ever met a "Chug"? Well, now you have. This adorable girl is a chihuahua/pug mix and she's about one year old... or so the good folks at the shelter are guessing. She was left tied to the front door of the shelter one very cold evening, where she must have been for a few hours.
