Free summer meals are being offered to all kids, ages 1 to 18, of the Hood River Valley through a grant from the USDA and sponsored by the Hood River County School District. There is no fee, no registration and no "qualifying". Just show up at Mid-Valley Elementary School in Odell at 7:15 to 8:00 a.m. for breakfast and 10:55 to Noon for lunch, July 9th through the 25th. Adults cost $3.50. Food includes typical "school" breakfast and lunch fare, like pizza, hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken nuggets, nachos, sandwiches etc. … (2 comments)
