It's 'Furnace Friday' because every Friday is 'Furnace Friday' on this site, Columbus Ohio real estate, home maintenance 
This is a video from real estate guru Ilyce Glink about a type of furnace in Central Ohio that is relatively rare,  hot water heat.
We do have some hot water heat homes.  Less with the big old fashioned radiators (which I LOVE)...  than other parts of the country.  I would have to believe a lot of homes of an age in Central Ohio had radiators that were removed when forced air heat and more importantly central air replaced them.   Most of … (0 comments)

Blue skies and the Worthington Green...  Happy Easter 2011!
The photo is NOT from this year... the photo is looking at the Worthington Presbyterian Church across the Village Green in 2009...  Easter was in early April 2009... the trees are more leafed out this year since Easter was so late but there are no beautiful blue skies today, or Saturday, or Friday.   I can't remember before that if we were having rain... I think it has been raining all week.

That's a quote "Central Ohio home sales growing" is how the Columbus Board of REALTORS® reported March 2011 sales to members and the media yesterday. 
The Columbus Board of REALTORS ® says Central Ohio home sales growing... over last month, March 2011 over February 2011.  "The 1,487 homes sold last month was 31.8 percent higher than the previous month’s sales of 1,128. Year to date sales of 3,678 lag 2010."

Summer weather is on it's way... I started Furnace Friday in the summer... Flint School is gone. 
The Flint School sat there at the corner of Park and Flint Roads from the 1920s until a few weeks ago.  The school had NOT been used since the 1960s.  I believe since 1963.  On a site called 'Forgotten Ohio on the page about Flint' it says of the Flint School building "The small school building where Flint's children attended class is still standing, neatly boarded up, in a park at the corner of Park Street and Flint Road."

It's that time again... Today is Furnace Filter Friday because the first Friday of every month is Furnace Filter Friday. 
If you change your furnace filter monthly change it today, Friday, April 1, 2011.
A couple of weeks back in a post when I had NOTHING to say about furnaces I wondered aloud about who Frank Furnace was.
