Buy a Blizzard today at Dairy Queen for the Children's Miracle Network.  At least a $1.00 per Blizzard is going to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
I did my part... I had a Hawaiian Blizzard today.  
Pictured is the Dairy Queen at 6416 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035, in the Olentangy Crossing area. 
It looks as though the Dairy Queen on the corner of E. Powell and Columbus Pike is participating too, Lewis Center area as well but closer to Polaris.

Condo Worthington schools, Columbus taxes...
 
There are many condominiums in the Sancus area.  The area is in the City of Columbus and the Worthington City School District.  Addresses are Worthington, Ohio 43085 south of Park Road and Westerville, Ohio north of Park Road, until you hit Lazelle Road and Delaware County.
Do schools even matter on condominiums?  To some people schools may matter.

Columbus Weathered the Storm - 07/07/12 12:19 PM

Columbus was hit by a storm a week ago Friday.  The storm came through about 5:00 P.M. on Friday June 29, 2012.  We've had a little bit of stormy weather since.  The storm last Friday was a Derecho.
The photo above was taken in Delaware County in the Lewis Center area along Route 23 (Columbus Pike) just after 5:00 on June 29, 2012. 

Much of central Ohio lost power due to the storm at the end of June.  Most of central Ohio NOW has power back or will by the end of this weekend according to AEP.

Mezzo Italian Kitchen at Creekside in Gahanna - 07/05/12 02:38 PM

 
We went to Mezzo Italian Kitchen in Gahanna just after the news that the  Creekside Development was sold, including the Residences at Creekside condominiums.

We went to Mezzo for my birthday dinner in June.  We do not eat Italian out often but Mezzo Italian is one central Ohio restaurant with gluten free choices.  I chose the penne with shrimp. It was not a good choice.  The gluten free penne was over cooked (that happens with gluten free pasta.)  I should have chosen the scallops.  I got a taste of both the scallops and the risotto (which were … (2 comments)

The Doo Dah Parade 2012 - 07/04/12 04:44 PM
Doo Dah Parade 2012 went off without a hitch despite the heat.  

My perennial favorites the Marching Fidels were in the 2012 Doo Dah Parade, but there were not as many of the bearded, cigar smoking, khaki clad revolutionaries as other years.  

Queen Elizabeth appeared in the 2012 Doo Dah Parade in Columbus in honor of her Jubilee. 
 

"60 Years on the throne"
Not a lot of presidential politics in the Doo Dah Parade this year.   A bit, but not much really.
Local politics... Is Clintonville seceding?  What did I miss?
