Home Sales Columbus Board of REALTORS MLS This graph shows home sales and homes for sale for the entire Columbus Board of REALTORS mls (multiple listing service) for the past 15 months. The graph is for single family homes (does not include condominiums) for the whole mls as a geographic area. The area served by the Columbus Board of REALTORS mls is big. How big? October 2011 Home Sales Up according to the Columbus Board of REALTORS®, The Columbus Board of REALTORS announced to members, the media and the public yesterday that home sales were up in October 2011. Quoting the Columbus Board of Realtors: "Home sales in central Ohio home have exceeded 2010 for the last four months according to the Columbus Board of REALTORS®. The 1,543 homes sold in October marks an 8.6 percent increase over the 1,421 homes sold in October of 2010. Home sales in September were up 16.6 percent compared to the year before." How accurate is Columbus real estate online? You as a buyer or seller or just someone interested in local real estate have access to a lot of information online about homes for sale: Zillow.com Trulia.com Realtor.com Above are the big three... Realtor.com is the biggest of the three, most traffic, but Realtor.com has a lot more listings than the other two. There's lots of little places where the information about "Columbus homes for sale" is syndicated. Some examples are: Oodle, Hot Pads... Syndication is a good thing but it would be better if you could rely on the information you

June 2010 - Columbus home prices are down -0.4% from May 2010... the Columbus Dispatch reported in late June that prices were falling. The June 27 article said: "With dropping home prices, record-low mortgage rates and special offers, buyers who missed out on the $8,000 federal tax credit are coming out further ahead." Link below. May 2010 Columbus Ohio home sales up 26.2% by Maureen McCabe of Real Living HER Central Ohio home sales were up 26.2 % in the month of May 2010, from May 2009. The graph shows homes for sale and homes sold for the past 15 months, through May 2010. This is for all counties served by the Columbus Board of REALTORS® MLS. Columbus homes sales up 40% in April 2010 according to the Columbus Board of REALTORS® numbers released on May 21, 2010: "The 2,093 homes sold last month represented a 22.8 percent increase over the previous month and a 39.1 percent increase over April of 2009." The "Columbus" here means Central Ohio of course. The title of the CBR News is "April saw 40 percent increase in home sales in central Ohio" The area is way bigger area than the City of Columbus. "Columbus home market continues to improve" according to the Columbus Board of REALTORS®. The official results for January 2010 were reported today. According to CBR "...the 6.2 percent growth in average sale price, indicates a market that is returning to sustainability." The graph is average home prices for the entired MLS. The pricing is for single family and condominiums combined. The CBR says "The average sale price in January was $145,993, up from $137,446 in January 2009" Change in sold home prices from January 2009 for selected school districts! The Columbus Board of Realtors announced the results of December 2009 home sales today. The sales results page of Columbus Realtors Website: 2009 ends with a bang for Columbus home sales "Home sales in the last four months of 2009 were up 24.3 percent over the same time in 2008, according to the Columbus Board of REALTORS®. In the month of December alone, 1,464 homes were sold, 150 more than the year before." I start doing quick market reports each month as soon as Real Living HER has access to data to build graphs from Trendgraphix.

The Columbus Board of REALTORS ® (CBR) supplied the local media with July 2009 sales. In an email to association members the board said "The following will be released to the media this morning, Aug. 21, 2009" How is the Columbus Ohio real estate maket doing? According to CBR: "Home prices, sales, inventory continue positive trends, Key indicators point to increased stability in central Ohio market" CBR reported over 2000 residential properties sold.
