Beating a dead zebra...
Not to beat a dead horse... is just an expression! Have you been paying attention to the Lones Group's lawsuit against Daniel Rothamel, The Real Estate Zebra? The Lones Group sells marketing to the real estate industry, and they sued Daniel, a real estate agent to keep him from using "trade dress" his zebra stripes. What's black and white and red all over? #savethezebra

ActiveRainism - dogma?
How to write this without going into religion, dogma... I am a fan of ActiveRain. I don't think I practice ActiveRainism but some might... EDIT think I do. I think ActiveRain is one good way (place?) for the real estate industry to learn about social media, the real estate industry, blogging, technology.

Congrats to ActiveRain for making the list in the September 2009 issue of REALTOR Magazine. The next big real estate network? Is it RealSeekr.com ???
I am an ActiveRain supporter. I don't really believe there is a successor on the horizon.
What real estate networking site is going to replace ActiveRain because blogging to the public is free for everyone? Or because the site is better? Who or what is the network whose succession to a position of prominence in the RE blogosphere is extremely likely?

The Columbus Board of REALTORS® is a trade group for those in the real estate industry in Central Ohio. The Columbus Board of REALTORS® maintains the multiple listing service for it's members.
Real estate agents are licensed by the state of Ohio. We join real estate associations (or boards) locally. It's been that way for a long, long time.
The Columbus Board of REALTORS® is sometimes referred to as CBR.

I am not sure who Geek Realtors is... but they published a top 100 real estate blogs list recently. I saw a discussion of the list on Twitter.
