Bye Bye ActiveRain.... don't worry I am not going anyhere.... I ran into this prediction recently... No I am not being obscene that is what the editor on RealTown blogs is called. The F in FCKeditor stands for Ferdinand? Nope it is Frederico. Frederico Caldeira Knabben to be exact. I think I first met Julie Emery on RealTown's RealTalk. I follow Julie on Twitter. Julie Emery is also a member of ActiveRain. Everyone on ActiveRain always enjoys a graph showing ActiveRain "kicking the butts" of other social media for real estate so here's a graph, enjoy. I threw in WannaNetwork, another real estate network for fun.

4,208 Visits 3,860 Absolute Unique Visitors I believe the RealTown beta started the last Monday of September 2007. Above is the past 30 days. Below is the previous 30 days so the very end of it the traffic was starting to ramp up because of the changes in the RealTown blogs URLs. These little graphs are from my Google Analytics. 1,375 Visits 1,154 Absolute Unique Visitor Traffic isn't everything of course but I like traffic. If I write, I want someone to read. Other ActiveRain members including Jeff Dowler, Carole Cohen, Monika McGillicuddy, Ann Cumming have or have had blogs on RealTownblogs too. Lenn Harley tried RealTownblogs.com loooooong ago. I have a RealTownBlog.com blog Disover Columbus. I don't get much traffic on it. Is Frances Flynn Thorson, the managing editor of RealTown biased? If you have been reading RealTalk or BlogTalk it looks different today than it did just yesterday. Columbus Best Blog 2006 Review before we get too far into 2007.... When you visit the blog that was Columbus Best Bog in 2006 it has since been changed to Discover Columbus. There is a new 'Columbus Best Blog'... My blogging year on Columbus Best Blog, a RealTown Blog was heavily influenced by Sellsius Blog naming me a Top 10 Women Real Estate Blogger 2006. Does anyone use Quantcast to measure traffic for websites? Blogs? Comparing traffic on websites interests me. Until recently Alexa was the only site I was aware of to compare for example Active Rain and other sites. "Using Alexa to Compare Traffic Across Sites" Dustin Luther of Rain City Guide, June 7, 2006. I know... I know I look at Alexa traffic stats too often. I wanted a snapshot of RealTown Blogs traffic pre-December 7, 2006 so I went to Alexa again this morning. My other blog is a RealTown blog, may I draw your attention to a blog on RealTown Blogs about Florida? I am sure Leanne's traffic has gone up and down just like the rest of ours and that she has been 2% or higher before but this snapshot caught it at 2% of the total of all RT Blogs (well over 2000) blogs. This traffic info is from Alexa so take it with a grain of salt..... My other blog, Columbus Best Blog is a RealTown Blog so I keep an eye on Alexa Traffic for RealTown Blogs. Bonnie Erickson's RealTown Blog which was the #1 RealTown Blog for so long is down to only 1% now.... since Bonnie left her RealTown Blog in mid September does that surprise you? Jonathan Dalton's Phoenix Arizona Real Estate Blog is number one (after RTBlogs itself) ... Congratulations Jonathan! Where is your traffic from Jonathan? Bubble bloggers? Among the recent featured blog entries on RT Blogs.... Active Rainer and RT Blogger Ann Cumming's Thanksgiving blog was a featured blog entry on RT Blogs. Congratulations Ann! I invited Michael Adams to Active Rain and I think I will try again... or anyone else know Michael? Invite him! Michael wrote about Inman saying "don't decorate for the holidays." I am wondering about the official edict on decorating from Real Estager, Craig Schiller... I gotta read Craig's blogs... ( non RT blogs....) Edit: Of course Craig has spoken on the issue! This is Alexa so it is skewed.... RealTown Blogs as a whole are very stable... they are not losing traffic but they are not growing the way Active Rain is. That is not to say that individual RealTown Blogs are not growing. Jonathan Dalton's Blog now accounts for 7% of the traffic on RealTown Blogs. Jonathan's traffic has been growing steadily. Keep up the good work Jonathan! What do you think is the reason the traffic is growing on your blog? Is it doing battle with the bubble bloggers? Playing with other real estate bloggers? Something else?

It would have been neat if Ardell would have had her blog set up so the entries showed up Technorati, but she didn't. I know she has not claimed her blog on Technorati but I am not sure if she ever set her RealTown Blog up with a template with tags when tags were introduced on RealTown Blogs. The 'Sellsius 101' tag on technorati The Bloodhound blog showed up, Sellsius° Blog showed up, The Property Monger Blog showed up... others commenting on the Sellsius 101 using the tag showed up on Technorati... everyone but Ardell.
