This is a Re-Blog of a post from home inspector Reuben Saltzman in Minnesota. In Central Ohio the seller is usually not present for the home inspection. As a seller I think it would be nerve racking and I would get defensive. I have seen a few Central Ohio home sellers stay for the home inspection. "This is the buyer's opportunity to have an unbiased and professional review of their home."; was a comment Ginny Gorman a real estate agent in Rhode Island left on Reuben's post and I have to agree with that. Central Ohio open houses are not for lazy agents. Real estate agents... open houses are a lot of work if done right. I doubt anyone "lazy" would do an open house, they are a lot of work. Parts of Central Ohio are great for open houses, other parts? Not so much. ActiveRain a national real estate network has been a hot bed of debate lately about whether open houses are good or bad. Whether open houses work or do not work. Whether agents who tell their sellers to have an open house as part of their marketing are lying to them. (41 comments)
This is a Re-Blog. I did not write this. Lola Audu a broker in the state north of us did. For some reason I have a mental block about what the term "social graph" means. I first saw Lola's post on Facebook but later found it published on ActiveRain a real estate network on Facebook. The first words in Lola's original title are the words "Social Graph." I was not sure if Lola was talking to consumers or others in the real estate industry, I decided the title works for talking to consumers: "Social Graphs... Why a BETA Search (2 comments)
