Ostrander Ohio is # 57 of '365 Places to Live in Columbus'   Some may say Ostrander is too far out to be considered Columbus Ohio, but the southern Delaware County  village is in the Columbus MSA or SMSA...  metropolitan area...
Ostrander is in Buckeye Valley schools.
Ostrander Ohio's annual celebration of July 4 is the topic of another Facebook page today too... '365 Things To Do In Columbus Ohio' and featured on ColumbusBestBlog.com today.

Did you ever wonder about the name of Africa Road in southern Delaware County?   Where the name "Africa Road" came from?  I wondered.
View Larger Map An Ohio Department of Natural Resources site has a page called  Ohio's Underground Railroad to Freedom which talks about slaves coming across the Ohio River from the south. Ohio played a large part in the Underground Railroad in the 1800s.   I wondered why Africa Road.  The site says:
