twitter: Happy New Year 2012: Blogging is so 2006 - 01/02/12 12:53 PM
Happy New Year 2012 Happy New Year! Weren't you glad that there are so many opportunities in the real estate industry to engage with consumers in 2011? As 2011 was ending I was thinking about how things have changed over the years and how things have stayed the same in many ways. OK I started thinking about it in August or September 2011.... so perhaps that really was NOT the end of 2011... Blogging is so 2006 There are now Facebook pages and profiles, Twitter and Google+ so who needs "a blog" to "blog?" You can engage with consumers on

twitter: I Like the buttons... - 08/15/11 08:50 AM
Thanks ActiveRain I Like the buttons... Like, +1... I really, really do.... ... A Linked in button.... that's impressive. It allows you to share to a group. Options. I really like the Tweet button but then again I like Twitter. I really, really do like the buttons. I have to say though I do not like the buttons being on the same line as the title. I do not like titles broken up into multiple lines. I think I will go back and change that title to "Olentangy Orange Football 2012" Maybe more concise titles will be better. "Thomas

twitter: Twitter: Columbus Ohio Places Weekly - 03/15/11 07:36 PM
I started another Paper.li on Twitter: Columbus Ohio Places Weekly Like I need another Paper.li A lot of people do NOT like Paper.li I do. What's a Place on Twitter / Paper.li : Columbus Ohio Places Weekly Places like restaurants, stores, venues, businesses... I suppose even cities. Worthington Schools could be a Columbus Ohio Place, Westerville Libraries could be a Columbus Ohio Place. I need to go through who I follow on Twitter and put more that I follow into groups. Paper.li makes a Newspaper for you (those you follow), a twitter group or a hashtag & more...

Take a quiz. "What animal are you?" take the What Animal Am I? quiz Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my! "how will you survive the change in the real estate industry? " Change? More change? Really do we hafta keep changing? The "What Animal Am I?" quiz is on the site for Stefan Swanepoel's new book (comes out in 2011)... a cute little red T for Twitter, tweeted the Quiz asking "What animal are you?", @Tweal_Estate on Twitter: Are real estate agents who tweet (are active on Twitter) more likely to be one animal or the other? twitter: Miss the ActiveRain Twitter Feed? - 11/13/10 10:41 AM
Do you miss the ActiveRain Twitter Feed? I don't. I never used it. I don't miss seeing a stream of "Just posted on ActiveRain" tweets either. I would watch that stream for people I knew... good stuff but a lot of it was not worth clicking on. I believe this must be broken: In a comment on " In What direction goes Active Rain" (my first Re-Butt / Re-Blog) J. Stephen Gregory wrote: " I'm not 100% happy that the Twitter link only works occasionally, but all in all, this is a pretty damn good site."

twitter: Extra, Extra read all about Paper.li - Am I quoting YOUR content on my paper? - 09/27/10 09:28 AM
Paper.li Am I quoting your content on my paper? Perhaps if I am following you on Twitter you are in one of the papers I published this morning using Paper.li I published three... four really... the first one I published I deleted when I saw how easy it was and how I misunderstood it since I never bothered to real all about it before trying it. I saw David Childress publish a paper on Sunday with Paper.li. Looking at David's paper on Paper.li I thought "gee that looks great..." curation... looking at David's paper I thought "gee that must be a

twitter: Viral content - Don't get your undies in a bundle - 07/07/10 08:00 AM
Viral content - Don't get your undies in a bundle... What does "undies in a bundle" even mean? I believe William James Walton Sr. used "undies in a bundle" in a comment on Jeff Corbett's post ...the post that the title has been changed... because it was deemed to be hate speech by ActiveRain... you remember the post that a lot of the ladies of ActiveRain's "undies in a bundle." Urban Dictionary on undies in a bundle Discussion on ActiveRain: "I saw something (online.) I don't know what it is. I won't show it to you. Let's discuss if it

twitter: Soci@l - The Intro... - 07/03/10 08:44 AM
In the Intro to the ebook 'Soci@l: Attract Friends, Followers and Connections to Your Business' there is a mention of NameChk.com Good tool... Reading The Intro to Soci@l I did get sucked into using NameChk.com to see which networks I am MaureenMcCabe and which networks other Maureen McCabes beat me to the name. I am not the only Maureen McCabe in the world. I share the name with a bunch of people. I am MaureenMcCabe and you are not... I own MaureenMcCabe.com I have since the late 1990's? Maybe longer. Maybe less. I am not the only Maureen McCabe

twitter: Please rob me - location, location, location - 02/18/10 06:51 AM
Please rob me ...if you can brave my blood thirsty Rottweiler / Pit Bull mix "Harry" at home... Location based social media is all the rage. Please rob me is a website that pulls content that says "Hey I'm at Joe's Bar" ...to everyone and adds "Please rob me." Is Please rob me off base in pointing out the obvious? Their mission statement "why?" says: "Hey, do you have a Twitter account? Have you ever noticed those messages in which people tell you where they are? Pretty annoying, eh. Well, they're actually also potentially pretty dangerous. We're about to tell you

twitter: what happens on ActiveRain, stays on ActiveRain? - 01/27/10 06:45 AM
EDIT Let me clarify Question: what happens on ActiveRain, stays on ActiveRain? Answer: No it does not. It will get out. It does NOT stay on ActiveRain. It never has. People in your market can figure out who you are talking about. If that is not enough, people are NOW watching and ready to help file complaints. Even if you post it Members Only.Even if you don't name names. I don't believe in Members Only posts, personally. I think behavior deteriorates much faster in Members Only posts. Members Only posts are not a safe haven. I am not endorsing using Members

twitter: Official Roster and Schedule for the Virtual Real Estate BarCamp: Jan 4th from 9am PST - 4pm PST - 01/04/10 08:00 AM
It is today. Here is the schedule and instructions. I wish I could go to all the sessions. I have four of the seven sessions narrowed down to two choices, that's progress. I am kind of that way with a menu too. One thing I did last time that helped me was use my Desktop to watch the presentation, be in in the chatroom and watch Twitter. At the same time I used my netbook to be on MY LinkedIn when Mike Mueller was talking about LinkedIn, on My Posterous.com when Brad Carrol was talking about Posterous.com I suppose you

Tops when it comes to Twitter Lists What are Twitter lists to you? Too much work? Tweetdeck (or something else ) already does it? Too much time? Teresa is tops when it comes to Twitter lists Teresa Berry a Seattle WA real estate agent took the time to make some lists and ended up on a Top Twitter Curators list on Listorious. twitter: Tweetlister - What do you think now? - 08/29/09 09:35 AM
Tweetlister was introduced just a few months ago. What do you think of TweetLister now? Don't worry about the question if you are not on Twitter. It does not apply to you move along... If you do not know what Tweetlister is there are posts about it on ActiveRain. You send out YOUR listings to your Twitter followers via Tweetlisting. Are you using it? Tweetlister? How's it working out for you? I am not sure if I first heard of Tweetlister on Twitter or whether I first heard of it on ActiveRain but I can assure you I have heard of

twitter: TweetCasting.com would you tweet for food? FREE food? - 06/23/09 11:31 AM
Would you tweet for food? Are you on Twitter? Facebook? Linkedin? MySpace? All of the above? Have you heard of TasteCasting? Would you tweet for food? TasteCasting started in beautiful Columbus Ohio... I have not participated for personal reasons.... I always wondered if TasteCastings were just Tweet Ups focused on a restaurant, cafe, bar or other food business but the TweetCasting site says "complimentary." They aren't tweeting about bird seed... the Columbus Team has tasted: "Fabulous Mediterranean Food In Hilliard, Ohio," at the Olive Tree Mediterranean Cafe The Hills Market, a gourmet market which is in the Worthington area Sugardaddy’s

Dynamite Nitroglycerin Hand Grenades Land Mines TNT Blasting caps MacGyver Bomb Black Powder C-4 Tweet adder I learned everything I know about explosions from 'The Roadrunner', 'The A-Team' and 'MacGyver.' Oooops I'd spelled Dynamite "Dynomite" what show was that? "Dyn-o-mite!" You may ask "What is Tweet Adder?" I know I did... Or you might ask why would you want your Twitter followers to explode. I know I did. Most of my new followers lately seem to be all about getting more followers. That really is not what I am concerned about on Twitter personally. Don't be

Thanks to Connie in the Omaha NE area for this post. This is a Re-Blog of the top 10 Twitter Cities by Connie Watts.
