The Blue Agave in the Polaris area may be my new favorite Mexican restaurant.

The Blue Agave chile rellenos may be the reason the Mexican restaurant in the Polaris area is probably my new favorite central Ohio Mexican restaurant. Blue Agave makes their chille rellenos with egg rather than batter. The red sauce on top is nice and light too. And they are huge. The photo was a combination plate with two chille rellenos, the two sides are not shown. I had enough left overs for two more meals.

On Westerville Home Prices - February 2012 a real estate agent from Canada wrote:
"In our area that would be a huge difference between listing and selling prices."
A 25% difference between the average for sale price and the average sold price is big... bigger than some other central Ohio school districts (the market report is for all homes in the Westerville City School District) and the difference is smaller than other central Ohio school districts. Months of inventory is down from last month too.

Do you plan to attend this years Parade of Homes at Olentangy Falls in southern Delaware County? Do you usually go? I love seeing how the homes are decorated, what features are important to different builders, how similar or different the floor plans and styles are. I like seeing "the latest and greatest style in home decor."

Annehurst Village is often shortened to "Annehurst" but the Westerville, Ohio neighborhood developed in the late 1960s has a first and last name. Posting this to ActiveRain real estate network, the neighborhood name is listed as "Annehurst" there. I have a choice to add the name "Annehurst Village" or just use "Annehurst" as the neighborhood name... I'm going with Annehurst

Field of Heroes 2011 has 500 more flags than last year. There will be 2500 flags on the field at the corner of N. Cleveland Avenue and County Line Rd. in Westerville.
This is the third year the Rotary Club of Westerville Sunrise has done Field of Heroes.
The Field of Heroes opening ceremony is this morning at 9:30 this morning. There are events throughout the weekend. Mindy Drayer is emceeing the opening / dedication ceremony.

Did you ever wonder about the name of Africa Road in southern Delaware County? Where the name "Africa Road" came from? I wondered.
View Larger Map An Ohio Department of Natural Resources site has a page called Ohio's Underground Railroad to Freedom which talks about slaves coming across the Ohio River from the south. Ohio played a large part in the Underground Railroad in the 1800s. I wondered why Africa Road. The site says:

Westerville Ohio's Field of Heroes many of the photos in the slide show are from this morning's Dedication Ceremony. There are 2000 flags on the corner of Cleveland Avenue and County Line Rd. "The Moving Wall", a half size replica of the Vietnam Veteran Memorial in Washington D.C. is in Westerville this Memorial Day Weekend. During the dedication ceremony, the mayor, named the five Westerville Ohio men, whose names appear on the wall.

Walnut Bend in Westerville is a neighborhood I really, really like. I believe all the homes in Walnut Bend were built by MI Homes but that is NOT why I like Walnut Bend. I like the neighborhood because thare are some great lots. Great views. Some of the odd numbered lots on Abbotsbury Dr. have a gorgeous view and the lots on the south side of Tree Bend Drive back to the woods or some do... but the view down the street on Tree Bend Dr. is what I love most.
