Recycling Computers Etc - 12/31/08 03:13 PM
Time to clean out the garage, the basement, the attic or wherever you have been stashing those old, obsolete computers, monitors and TV's!  As of January 1st it will be much easier - and free - to dispose of these electronic items that no longer work, but do not belong in the landfill.

Oh my gosh, we have a real winter happening here in Olympia - the kind I remember from growing up in Illinois, but had kind of enjoyed NOT having here!  I think we are now up to nearly a foot of snow in our yard and the driveway has enough that my car can't make it to the street.  Not that I am really eager to make it to the street as it is full of frozen ruts and is not a pretty picture at all.  Before I whine too much, I do want to make it clear that … (0 comments)

Feels Like Winter! - 12/15/08 05:00 PM

We've got snow in Olympia, and I am realizing that it seems to bring back the child in me that grew up with midwest winters that always brought us enough snow to build snowmen, snow forts, and have snowball fights that led to enough chill to drive us inside begging our mothers for hot chocolate.  Yesterday it snowed lightly on us when we travelled to a local Christmas tree farm to select the "perfect" Christmas tree.
