Visit the Crystal Coast of N.C. in the Fall 2008 - 08/30/08 07:15 PM
I love Carteret County in the Fall! Fall doesn't "technically" start until mid September but I tend to gauge my fall by the cooler evenings and the change of scenery. Along the Crystal Coast of NC you will find the blooms of Crepe Myrtles and fragrant jasmines. Migratory birds from the north are finding their way to our coast and tourists are realizing the fall months in Carteret County offer a variety in fun activities! Here's my hand-picked list of great upcoming events Two great Fishing Tournaments: Sept. 12-13 Atlantic Beach Saltwater Classic (formerly Atlantic Beach King Mackerel

Carteret County Schools 2008-09 School Year - 08/23/08 02:52 PM
As moms and dads rush around to make sure backpack are stocked and alarms are set for rising early .... I caught a glimpse of these kids enjoying the last weekend of their summer fun ! It is the end of another wonderful summer along the Crystal Coast. This week cooler weather sets in and allows for an opportunity to catch a few fish and even more giggles ! If you could hear these boys laugh with excitement and watch them work in tandem to find just the right spot to drop that line--- a

Well, its that time again! Carolina Football Season ! As some of you may already know my husband is a football coach for UNC. This is Jeff's 8th season with the Tarheels and we are excited about what is in store for this season. Fans are certainly showing their support --- season tickets have sold out two months prior to the '08 kickoff! The Heels have been picked 2nd in the ACC Coastal Division and cant wait for their opening game which will be home on August 30th.

TheCrystal Coast...Where Family Traditions Start - 08/02/08 08:52 PM
The Crystal Coast of Carteret County North Carolina consists of pristine beaches and the most hospitable locals on the coast! My husband and I moved to Greenville in Eastern North Carolina nearly 20 years ago and at every opportunity we found ourselves driving to the Crystal Coast on the weekends to "recharge our batteries". With two toddlers at the time we enjoyed the sun and surf as well as the casualness of the town. Carteret County offered us the ability to vacation or get-away without the neon lights and razzle dazzle other coastal towns gimmick themselves with. It truly is a family oriented coast.
